• Reviewing design and managing medical device installation projects such as CT Scan, General X-Ray, Laboratory Equipment to make sure it complies to the require law, regulation, standards etc.
• Design device and model specific Hospital Engineering Planned Preventive Checklist for all medical devices to make sure the maintenance is done following manufacturer requirement.
• Involve in formulating competency certification policy in the Biomedical Engineering National Committee (BENC) at national level with Ministry of Health and Industrial players.
• Scoping study, mobilize and take over biomedical engineering maintenance services of new hospitals or sites.
• Perform Testing & Commissioning of newly added medical devices in the hospitals.
• Perform Electrical Safety Test for medical devices accordance to IEC 60601-1, IEC 62353 and IEC 61010 Standards.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, routine inspection calibration, and repairing for the equipment.
• Provide frontline emergency technical repair services.
• Identify problematic electronics components and PCB repairs.
• Perform re-engineering / repair of existing equipment to enhance the reliability and stability of such equipment thereby saving costs (not at the expense of quality) as part of on-going austerity need in relation to budgetary control.
• Provision of technical input / advice and reliability analysis on the equipment to the clinical practitioners.
• Involve in incident reporting and coordinate with manufacturers or suppliers on any recalled medical devices.
• Liaise with the suppliers on all relevant technical and application issues and provide the best solution to the end users.
• Conduct user training to end user with aim to eliminate user related problems and associated safety risk to the patients.
• Conduct / coordinate internal technical training to all technical personal as part of talent management and growth.
• In-house dialogue with the Doctors to support them in providing (technical) value-added services to patient care services.
